Technical Product Owner / Business Analyst

Position Level:  Professional

ALYKA Health Technologies is seeking a passionate, collaborative, and user-focused Technical Product Owner / Business Analyst. Reporting to the Director of Product Management, you will serve as a critical bridge between our offshore development team and our North America-based stakeholders and customers. You will support product discovery and delivery activities to create personal, goal-driven, information-rich journeys to better health for our users.

What you’ll do

  • Become knowledgeable on ALYKA’s products, user base, strategy, and objectives.

  • Build your skills and hone your craft.

  • Write user stories that articulate work to be done by the software engineering team.

  • Collaborate daily with Design and Software Engineering to build shared understanding and to ensure user stories are clearly defined through the creation of “mini-specifications” as needed.

  • Use recognized, structured analysis and design methodologies to determine and document solution requirements, ensuring that the solution is robust and deliverable and that the scope is clearly defined.

  • Contribute to problem and solution discovery efforts by conducting internal stakeholder and customer interviews and research.

  • Lead and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, story workshops / backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Perform validation testing of bug fixes and user stories along with the development team.

What we’re looking for:

  • You are curious, tenacious, and organized, with a user-focused mindset.

  • You love problems and problem-solving more than the solution itself.

  • You have 3-5 years of experience in a business analyst or technology role. Experience in the healthcare or benefits space is a plus.

  • You have strong problem-solving skills, you can iterate quickly, and you are willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done. Familiarity with agile methodologies is important, but this is not a pure Scrum role.

  • You communicate clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • You understand software development and mobile technologies; if you have experience working with engineering in a mobile/saas environment or have a scrum product owner certification, that’s a plus.

  • You work well under pressure with composure, make and meet commitments, and effectively present ideas and concepts.

  • You possess a high degree of flexibility and adaptability and are excited by a rapidly changing and growing environment.
